Our Story...
Pedro Zamora, born in the city of Cerralvo, in the State of Nuevo Leon, Mexico. In 1979 received his Bachelor of Arts (Teaching) from Normal Nuevo Leon, in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

In June 1983 received his Bachelor of Arts from North Park College in Chicago, IL, while working full-time for the company E. J. Brachs.

In September 1985 bought his first business, a Mexican restaurant, Chicago Salvador’s Restaurant, located in Villa Park, Illinois, with a capacity for 150 people.

The restaurant was a success, so much so, Mr. Zamora felt that being part of a chain of restaurants was structured, with no room for creativity. Feeling that he could advance its entertainment business, he made the decision in 1987 to gain independence from the restaurant chain Salvadoras, and change the name to Casa Azteca Mexican Restaurant. This change gave him trying new recipes, introducing a new menu, improving the preparation area to limit the style and appearance of fast food. Preparing a new menu, rich with authentic dishes and flavors. To the delight of his patrons, Mr. Zamora introduced evening entertainment, from Friday to Sunday.

In 1988, Mr. Zamora acquired space adjacent to the restaurant and it became a banquet hall with a capacity for 600 people. Its purposes were for private banquets, public dances with artists hired from Mexico, and what began as a good business, became his profession.

In January 1991, Mr. Zamora sold Casa Azteca Restaurant and dedicated his attention to the field of promotions, opening his first office in Chicago. Very soon, he became an agency for Hispanic artists and talents from Mexico, Central and South America. The agency organizes a number of concerts, festivals and outdoor events as well as in public and private sectors.

Mr. Zamora’s first expansion was in Manhattan, New York in 1995 where his office was in charge of hiring and managing musical groups and acts for New York and the entire east coast.

In 1995, he also saw the birth of a radio program, under the name “The Musical Machine," which was the first radio station to play regional Mexican music, in Manhattan, NY. The program continued until 2001 and awarded the ACE, awarded to Hispanics in the entertainment industry in New York City, NY.

In 1997, Zamora Entertainment Inc., purchased 50% of Club International, located in Detroit MI, consisting of 23500 square feet. Club International, is a full service entertainment center, with capability to host everything from Rap concerts, Fashion shows, Boxing Matches, and of course the best Hispanic Concerts, North of the Border.

In the year 2002, Zamora Entertainment Inc., continuing to grow, entered into partnership with Mr. Guillermo Santizo. Together, acquired a venue, with the capacity of 5000 people "Rodeo 2000" in Tyler, TX. With the success of “Rodeo 2000”, Mr. Zamora decided to expand in Des Moines, Iowa, with the purchase of “Val-Air Ballroom" with a capacity for 3500 people, “Galaxy Center” in Birmingham, Alabama, capacity for 3000 people, and exclusive rights of Mexican and Latino events in the states mentioned herein.

Already with its own artists, in 2003 the next step was to acquire their own radio stations in Birmingham and Lexington, Alabama Des Moines, and Perry Iowa, and Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The most recent acquisition was the “El Volcano Disco” in Columbus Ohio with a capacity of 2000 people. While continuously seeking areas where Mexicans and Latinos reside, to give them a little fun and joy to their hearts, a moment away from the fast pace of life in the United States.

Discipline, honesty, dedication, preparation, and the constant struggle remain the foundation for Mr. Pedro Zamora. With his ability to delegate, he surrounds himself with a staff trained to deal with the adversities, which presented themselves within the entertainment industry.

"Hard Work and a Winning Attitude," are words that he always uses and with accessibility to Pedro Zamora for anyone. However, to address the playing field, (which is almost daily) it's easy to understand the success he has, the type of person and company that you can entrust.
